Hérisson - по-фрацузски еж, а ещё название реки во Французских Альпах.
:) конечно после "Рая для сурков" ежиные водопады более чем логичны.
итак, географическая справка:
Юго-восточная часть Франции находится в альпийской зоне. Департаменты Юра (Жура), Савойя, Альпы, Дром и Изер почти целиком покрыты сложной вязью горных хребтов, нагорий, горных долин и озер, обрамленных древними смешанными лесами, альпийскими лугами и высокогорными пустошами. Это один из самых живописных районов страны, заметно отличающийся от остальной территории Франции как по своим природно-климатическим условиям, так и по этническому составу населения, архитектуре и кухне. Здесь несколько ярче прослеживаются германские и итальянские элементы, более сытная и простая кухня, свои рецептуры сыров и вин, даже свой язык, вобравший в себя немало словоформ из языков других народов Центральной Европы, и главное - более спокойная и умиротворяющая атмосфера, чем в большинстве центральных районов Франции.
На широком горном плато, занимающем практически всю южную часть Юры до самой швейцарской границы, сосредоточено множество природных красот и живописных городков. Расположенный практически в центре плато индустриальный городок Шампаньоль Champagnole) может предложить гостям отличный Археологический музей (открыт с июля по август), а также близлежащие лесистые горы и озера, особенно живописно выглядящие на фоне сельских областей и лесов Форе-де-ла-Жу (Foret de la Joux) северо-восточнее города.
К югу от Шампаньоля начинается красивейший Озерный край (Region des Lacs), изобилующий ущельями и водопадами, крошечными пляжами по берегам озер и множеством маленьких деревень с очень характерными для этих мест церквями с мозаичными куполами. Визитная карточка этих мест - водопады Эрисон (Cascades du Herisson) - семь каскадов, спускающихся за 3 км русла реки почти на 300 метров. Чуть выше, за красивым дубовым лесом и полями диких нарциссов, лежит еще один водопад - Гран-Со (высота 60 м), несколько более мелких каскадов и несколько живописных невысоких гор, вокруг которых зимой открываются лыжные курорты.
Заинтриговала??? Тогда поехали :).

Прогулка получилась захватывающей, а рассказы о том как великолепны водопады весной, когда много воды, и сказочны зимой среди заснеженных берегов подкрепили решение вернуться туда ещё раз :).
